Neurodivergence & Community: A Space for Us
As someone who is proudly neurodivergent, I know firsthand the challenges—and the strengths—that come with seeing the world differently. Too often, neurodivergent voices are left out of the conversations that shape policy, services, and community life. I want to change that.
This page is dedicated to you: constituents in our district who are autistic, ADHD, dyslexic, or live with any other form of neurodivergence. Your stories, perspectives, and ideas matter. Together, we can build a more inclusive community where neurodivergent individuals and families feel supported, valued, and empowered.
Share Your Story
Your lived experience can help guide policy and deepen understanding across our community. Whether you’ve faced challenges in school, the workplace, healthcare, or simply navigating daily life—or whether you want to share a story of strength and resilience—I invite you to contribute.
Advisory Team on Neurodivergence
To make sure these conversations turn into action, I’m forming a Neurodivergence Advisory Team made up of constituents. This team will meet regularly to:
-
Highlight issues facing neurodivergent individuals and families.
-
Propose solutions and community initiatives.
-
Ensure our district leads with inclusivity, empathy, and innovation.
If you’d like to help shape this work, I’d love to hear from you.
Why This Matters
Being neurodivergent is not a limitation, but rather it’s part of the diversity that makes our community stronger. By creating space for dialogue and collaboration, we can remove barriers, celebrate differences, and build a district that works for everyone.
Thank you for being part of this journey with me.
